Cox Flexion Distraction & Decompression Spinal Manipulation
What Is Cox Technic?
Cox Technic is a manual spinal manipulation technique used to treat lower back, neck, arm, and leg pain and spinal-related conditions, such as degenerative disc disease or disc injury of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. It was developed by Dr. James M. Cox, who has provided nearly 50 years of evidence-based research on the technique as a non-surgical alternative to back surgery.
NHC’s chiropractic physicians have been extensively trained and certified in this hands-on, doctor-controlled treatment. We are pleased to provide two Cox8 tables, the eighth generation of The Cox Table.
Safe, Gentle, Fast Pain Relief
Cox Technic delivers pain relief quickly, with most patients experiencing 30 to 50 percent improvement within the first two weeks.
According to research findings:
- the average number of days to “maximum improvement”: 29
- the average number of visits to “maximum improvement”: 12
At NHC, we use a specific Cox Technic chiropractic protocol with respect to your condition that allows us to focus on the area we are treating utilizing flexion distortion and decompression. As always, we take an integrated approach to your treatment and tailor programs that include diet & nutritional counseling and exercise therapy. Cox patients must be qualified candidates to receive this therapy.
We also work hand-in-hand with local orthopedic doctors and neurosurgeons to provide a customized treatment plan.
