Lisa Abramson, LAc Acupuncturist

Lisa Abramson graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture with honors. Her thesis, “Menopause: Comparison of Treatments in Western Medicine, Japanese-Style and Five Elements Acupuncture,” was recognized by the Dean of Academics.
Abramson also participated in research approved by the Institutional Review Board on “Chronic Lower Back Pain, Effectiveness of Needles vs. Needles With Electrical Stimulation.” Her clinical practice focuses not only on what acupuncture is most sought for, pain, but also on women's issues, such as using acupuncture in conjunction with fertility treatments, insufficient lactation, irregular menstrual cycles, hot flashes, and migraines.
Abramson's interest in acupuncture and the impetus for pursuing this field are the result of her ongoing quest to live as healthy a lifestyle as possible through natural methods. She has fully embraced the philosophy of Eastern medicine and recognizes the ability to help the body heal itself and function in its most optimal capacity. She acknowledges and understands the role of Western medicine and believes they should coexist to achieve the best results for each individual.
She graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in economics and received an M.B.A. from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Management.
