Dr. Dana Filatova, DCN, LDN, CISSN, MS, CNS Clinical Nutritionist

Doctor Dana Filatova is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN).
Dr. Filatova completed her doctorate work with a specialization in clinical functional nutrition at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) where she also serves as an adjunct faculty and student teaching clinic supervisor. She received a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Integrative Health from MUIH, and her undergraduate education was completed at the University of Maryland R.H. Smith School of Business with a degree in International Business.
Dr. Dana was born and raised in Riga, Latvia, and exposed to holistic/functional medicine from a young age. She takes a science-based, investigative approach to solving cases and believes in a collaborative approach with her patients to investigate the root causes or underlying conditions that are causing their problematic symptoms. By approaching her work as a partnership, not only with patients, but also with an integrative team of practitioners, she believes she can best improve her patients’ overall health and well- being while also providing care and support.
When Dr. Filatova is not working with her patients and students, she can be found researching, writing and is involved in peer review publications of individual case reports. She is also a frequent visitor to the ice rink where she enjoys skating for leisure or taking in a hockey game. Dr. Dana attends barre fitness classes regularly and has developed a true passion for it.
